The Sermon on the Mount can be described as discipleship training.

In this sermon Pastors Johnson Hamel explain Matthew 5:13-15 Salt and Light. It can almost be looked at as discipleship training, because Jesus was explaining their roles as disciples. He told them that they were like salt, meaning they will change their environment wherever they go. Salt in that time was a valuable commodity when it was pure. He reminded them to remain pure.
