In the first part of a two part sermon Dan and Karen Hamel helps us understand marriage scriptures found in Ephesians 5:22-24 that are aimed at wife's role in marriage. They explain that the two topics covered, submission of the wife to the husband and respecting the husbands leadership, can be counter-cultural. But they reframe it by sharing that submitting means voluntarily yielding to their husband in love, it is not a forced submission.
